Budweiser (budweiser.com): American-Style Lager | King of Beers since 1876

Budweiser is a major national beer brand in the United States that was founded in 1852. The company has been in the news lately as of late, and for all the wrong reasons.

In April of 2011, the company was involved in the infamous horse-drawn beer wagon ride. Its beloved Clydesdale beer wagon drivers were accused of sexually assaulting dozens of women during a US tour.

The company was also sued by customers of its popular “Bud Light Lime” beverage over the past few months for allegedly marketing the beverage as “the perfect mixer” and containing a thirty-six-percent-by-volume alcohol level.

Budweiser – beer brands is a global leader in beer consumption. It is the second most popular beer brand globally, with a market share of about 15% of the total beer market. It is most commonly sold in cans and bottles.

It is brewed by the Anheuser Busch Companies of St. Louis, Missouri, United States, in the Budweiser St. Louis brewery. Budweiser is the most popular brand name, referred to by beer connoisseurs as “The King of Beers”.

Anheuser-Busch has been making beer since 1852, when Eberhard Anheuser migrated from Germany to the United States and began making a pale lager called “Hirsch”.

Over the years, Anheuser-Busch has changed its name several times, to include “Anheuser-Busch and Eberhard Anheuser”, before settling on “Anheuser-Busch InBev”, which it holds today.

Today, Anheuser-Busch brews a wide variety of popular beers, from the classic Budweiser to the highly-coveted Michelob Ultra.
